Colin de la Plante (The Mole) is a spectacular artist and composer who must be followed closely; he’s a busy, ever-changing artist with an insatiable appetite for new platforms. After his DJ years, his compositions utilizing looped vinyl, and his live performances using four turntables, The Mole presented his new project during MUTEK festival: diverting the roots of funk, disco and boogie with live samples and reconstructing it all into sweeping proto-house at the mercy of the psychedelic, all very reminiscent of the work of Theo Parrish or Moodymann. He cuts and fuses his references with frightening efficiency that no one can resist.
